Tapology has introduced a new feature that displays an opposition level rating for UFC fighters' profiles. The rating is calculated using a specific formula available on the website and ranges from 1 to 99. Only the last six UFC fights are included in the calculation, with bouts in other organizations excluded. For UFC 328, Sean Strickland leads with a rating of 74, followed by Khamzat Chimaev at 69 and Alexander Volkov at 67. At the opposite end, Baysangur Susurkayev and Ozzy Diaz have the lowest ratings at 4.
Tapology has rolled out a new opposition level rating system for UFC fighter profiles, giving fans and analysts a numerical measure of the competition each fighter has faced inside the Octagon.

The rating runs on a scale of one to 99 and is calculated using a formula published on the Tapology website. Crucially, only a fighter's last six UFC bouts count toward the score, and appearances in other promotions are excluded entirely from the calculation.

Heading into UFC 328, scheduled for May 9, 2026, middleweight champion Sean Strickland holds the top rating among fighters on the card at 74. The 35-year-old American, who trains out of Xtreme Couture and carries a 31-7-0 professional record, is one of the most active strikers in his division, landing 6.04 significant strikes per minute. His 76-inch reach adds another dimension to a pressure-heavy style that has regularly put him in high-profile matchups.

Khamzat Chimaev sits second on the UFC 328 list with a rating of 69, followed closely by heavyweight contender Alexander Volkov at 67. Volkov, ranked first in the heavyweight division, brings a 40-11-0 record and stands six-foot-seven with an 80-inch reach. The 37-year-old Russian connects at a 57 percent striking accuracy rate, among the better marks for a fighter his size.

At the other end of the spectrum, Baysangur Susurkayev and Ozzy Diaz register the lowest ratings on the card, each scoring a 4, reflecting a recent run of opponents with limited UFC résumés.

Why it matters
- The metric offers a more structured way to evaluate résumé strength beyond raw win-loss records.
- Limiting the window to six fights keeps the rating current and penalizes fighters who have padded records against weaker opposition.
- A wide spread between top-rated and bottom-rated fighters on the same card highlights the uneven nature of UFC matchmaking across different divisions and experience levels.
