Tapology has introduced a new feature that rates the level of opposition UFC fighters have faced. The metric is calculated using a special formula and expressed on a scale of 1 to 99, based on a fighter's last six UFC bouts. Fights in other organizations are not included in the calculation. In the UFC 328 card, Sean Strickland leads with a rating of 74, followed by Khamzat Chimaev at 69 and Alexander Volkov at 67. At the bottom of the card, Baysangur Susurkayev and Ozzy Diaz both have ratings of 4, the lowest on the event.
Tapology has rolled out a new opponent-level rating system for UFC fighters ahead of UFC 328 on May 9, 2026, giving fans a numerical way to assess the quality of competition each fighter has faced inside the promotion.

The metric is expressed on a scale of 1 to 99 and is calculated using a proprietary formula built exclusively around a fighter's last six UFC bouts. Contests in other organizations are excluded entirely from the calculation.

Among the fighters listed for UFC 328, middleweight champion Sean Strickland tops the card with a rating of 74. The 35-year-old American out of Xtreme Couture carries a record of 31-7-0 and is one of the most active strikers in the division, landing 6.04 significant strikes per minute at 42 percent accuracy across a 76-inch reach.

Khamzat Chimaev slots in second at 69, followed closely by heavyweight Alexander Volkov at 67. Volkov, a 37-year-old Russian fighting out of Strela Team, stands six-foot-seven with an 80-inch reach and holds a professional record of 40-11-0. The number-one-ranked heavyweight lands 4.78 significant strikes per minute at an accuracy rate of 57 percent, among the sharper marks in the division.

Welterweight contender Sean Brady, ranked seventh at 170 pounds, also appears on the card. The 33-year-old from Renzo Gracie Philly owns a 19-2-0 record and is a prolific wrestler, averaging 3.53 takedowns per 15 minutes with a striking accuracy of 55 percent.

At the other end of the scale, Baysangur Susurkayev and Ozzy Diaz both register a rating of 4, the lowest marks on the entire event.

Why it matters
- The system gives a quick snapshot of how battle-tested each fighter on a card has been within the UFC specifically.
- Strickland's top rating of 74 reflects a championship run built against high-profile middleweight opposition.
- Fighters with ratings of 4 are flagged as largely untested at the UFC level, which could factor into how matchmakers and analysts project their readiness for tougher assignments.
