Mateusz Gamrot stated that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. The Polish fighter recounted experiences in American restaurants where payment technology was years behind Poland's standards, and described American hospitality as superficial with scripted interactions. He noted that at UFC events and barbecues, social interactions felt shallow and transactional. While acknowledging the U.S. offers career advantages for sports, Gamrot emphasized that quality of life isn't necessarily better there, citing examples of his children preferring to return home to Poland despite being in Florida. He concluded that navigating everyday life is simpler at home where he knows the shortcuts.
