Polish lightweight Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective comparing life in Poland to the United States, stating that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable and in many ways more modern than America despite governmental issues. He cited examples of outdated payment technology in U.S. restaurants that Poland had implemented a decade earlier, and criticized the superficial nature of American hospitality and social interactions. Gamrot described experiences where he was invited to barbecues but had to bring his own food to avoid going hungry, contrasting this with Polish hospitality. He acknowledged that the U.S. offers advantages for sports careers but maintained that quality of life is not necessarily better there. Even his children, despite being on a Florida beach surrounded by palm trees, expressed a preference to return home to their grandmother in Poland.
