Mateusz Gamrot stated that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable and in many ways more modern than the United States. The lightweight contender cited examples including outdated payment systems in American restaurants that Poland had implemented a decade earlier. He criticized Americans as not genuinely hospitable, recounting being invited to barbecues where he would have gone hungry without bringing his own food. Gamrot also described American social interactions as superficial, noting the automatic 'how are you, fine, bye bye' exchanges. While acknowledging the US offers advantages for sports careers, he emphasized that life quality is not necessarily better there, noting even his children preferred returning home to Poland despite being at Florida beaches.
