Tapology has implemented a new feature displaying opponent quality levels in UFC fighter profiles, calculated on a scale from 1 to 99. The metric considers a fighter's last six UFC bouts only, excluding performances in other organizations. For UFC 328, Sean Strickland leads with a score of 74, followed by Khamzat Chimaev at 69 and Alexander Volkov at 67. At the lower end, Baysangur Susurkaev and Ozzie Diaz both scored 4. The system provides fans with a quantitative measure of the competition level each fighter has faced recently.
Tapology has rolled out a new opponent quality metric for UFC fighter profiles, assigning each competitor a score between 1 and 99 based on the caliber of their recent competition. The feature went live ahead of UFC 328, scheduled for May 9, 2026, and draws exclusively from a fighter's last six UFC bouts, leaving out any performances logged in other promotions.

Among the fighters on the UFC 328 card, middleweight champion Sean Strickland leads all competitors with an opponent quality score of 74. The 35-year-old American, who trains out of Xtreme Couture and carries a professional record of 31-7-0, is one of the most active strikers in the division, landing 6.04 significant strikes per minute at 42 percent accuracy. His 76-inch reach complements an orthodox stance and a style built around volume output.

Heavyweight contender Alexander Volkov checks in second among the featured fighters with a score of 67. The Russian known as Drago holds the number-one ranking in the heavyweight division and brings a 40-11-0 record into the event at age 37. Standing six-foot-seven with an 80-inch reach, Volkov lands 4.78 significant strikes per minute and converts at an impressive 57 percent accuracy, among the higher marks in his weight class.

Khamzat Chimaev sits between the two with a score of 69, though his verified profile data was not included in the current release. At the opposite end of the scale, Baysangur Susurkaev and Ozzie Diaz each scored a 4, reflecting a recent run of opponents with limited UFC pedigree.

Why it matters
- The metric gives fans a standardized way to compare how stiff a fighter's recent schedule has been, adding context beyond raw win-loss records.
- Strickland's score of 74 reinforces his standing as a champion who has consistently been booked against top-tier middleweight opposition.
- Volkov's score of 67 underlines the credibility of his path to the number-one heavyweight ranking heading into UFC 328.
