Polish UFC lightweight Mateusz Gamrot stated on the "WojewódzkiKędzierski" podcast that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. Gamrot cited examples of outdated payment systems in American restaurants and described American hospitality as superficial, contrasting it with Polish warmth. He recalled attending barbecues in the U.S. where he would have gone hungry had he not brought his own food. Gamrot noted that while the U.S. offers advantages for sports careers, daily life is not necessarily better, and his children even expressed preference for returning to Poland while on a Florida beach vacation. He acknowledged that navigating bureaucracy and logistics is easier at home where he knows all the shortcuts.
