Alexander Volkov shared his perspective on Victory Day in an interview, stating it's definitely a holiday for him but one he views more with sorrow than joy. While he celebrates the victory and is grateful to veterans, he emphasized the tragedy of war itself and the importance of ensuring such events never happen again. Volkov explained he raises his children with a pacifist mindset in the good sense, instilling the Soviet-era value of "as long as there's no war" and wishing for peaceful skies. In a separate topic, Volkov was reminded of an interview from five years ago where he described Moscow in three words as "dirt, traffic jams, construction." After visiting last summer, he now considers Moscow the best city in the world for living, beauty, and overall quality, noting everything there is now excellent and worthy. He enthusiastically defended this position to teammates while driving through New Jersey.
