18-year-old Demid Volkov wins Russian combat sambo and MMA titles

Demid Volkov captured the Russian combat sambo championship in the 88 kg division at just 18 years old. The St. Petersburg middleweight/light heavyweight also claimed the junior MMA championship in the 93 kg category, defeating 17-year-old Platon Lebedev in the final. Volkov trains under Alexander Korshunov and spars with Denis Goltsov, Sergey Mokhnatkin, and Khadis Ibragimov.
