18-year-old Demid Volkov wins Russian combat sambo title at 88 kg

Demid Volkov became Russia's combat sambo champion in the 88 kg division in March at just 18 years old. The St. Petersburg middleweight/light heavyweight also won the junior MMA national title at 93 kg, defeating Platon Lebedev in the final. Volkov trains under Alexander Korshunov and spars with Denis Goltsov, Denis Mokhnatkin, and Khadis Ibragimov.
