Melquizael Costa has announced he is moving up to lightweight, citing an inability to continue cutting 22 kilograms for each fight. The Brazilian had compiled a six-fight winning streak at featherweight in the UFC after previously competing at 155 pounds earlier in his career. He stopped just outside the top ten at featherweight and will now look to crack the lightweight rankings.
