Song Yadong provided the emotional highlight of the evening for the home crowd, submitting Figueiredo with a guillotine choke late in the second round. The finish was the signature technique of his Team Alpha Male coach Urijah Faber, and it made Song the lone Chinese fighter to claim victory on a card that featured seven local competitors.

Pavlovich was even more emphatic, taking just 39 seconds to stop Glover Teixeira. The Brazilian veteran, now 33-9, is 46 years old and came in with legitimate credentials — a 49 percent striking accuracy rate and a well-rounded game averaging 2.11 takedowns per 15 minutes — but Pavlovich gave him no time to deploy any of it.

In the co-main event, Khalil Rountree Jr. knocked out Minyangue despite entering as a significant underdog. The 36-year-old southpaw, ranked seventh in the light heavyweight division, carries a 76-inch reach and lands 3.88 significant strikes per minute. The result extended Minyangue's documented pattern of never winning bouts that go beyond the opening round.

Elsewhere on the card, Asakura returned to bantamweight and stopped Smotherman by knockout. The flyweight contest between Su Mudaerji and Alex Perez ended in a no-contest after a low blow, with seventh-ranked Perez, 34, taken to hospital following the bout. Perez, who averages 4.41 significant strikes per minute and 2.21 takedowns per 15 minutes, was unharmed enough by the contest itself before the illegal shot brought proceedings to an abrupt halt.
