Ben Askren has confirmed his upcoming grappling bout with Belal Muhammad will be a one-off appearance and he has no plans to compete again afterward. Askren acknowledged his physical conditioning has dropped significantly since his competitive days but says he has been training daily to get back into shape. He deliberately sought out a tough opponent, expressing frustration that some fighters in the RAF organization prefer easy matchups. Askren added that after the event he intends to focus on coaching, teaching wrestling, spending time with family, and supporting the growth of the RAF league.
