Former Jackson-Wink general manager Mikhail Lyubimov has described Aaron Pico as one of the most physically dangerous training partners he ever witnessed, recounting sparring partners leaving the gym with broken ribs, fractured orbital bones, and knockouts. Lyubimov says partners routinely refused to work with Pico even for payment, and that a coach at the gym suffered a permanent sunken orbital socket after Pico's punch required surgery. He added that Pico eventually left Jackson-Wink to train in Morocco, where he was provided world-class sparring partners by royal patronage, and is now also training at Cub Swanson's California gym.
