Murtazali Magomedov cemented his place among the sport's elite unbeaten fighters on June 21 at UFC Vegas 119, submitting Melsik Bagdasaryan with a twister in the first round to push his professional record to 11-0 and earn entry into a select group of major-promotion fighters with ten or more wins and no losses.

The finish came on the same card that saw Andre Lima exit that group, as Lima dropped a unanimous decision to Kevin Bordelais to suffer the first loss of his career and fall off the unbeaten list entirely.

Why it matters

  • Magomedov's twister finish is one of the rarest submissions in MMA and signals a high finishing ceiling for the unbeaten newcomer
  • Lima's exit shrinks the elite unbeaten pool further, making each remaining name on the list more prominent
  • The updated rankings carry real divisional weight, with several fighters either ranked or competing for titles

The list now features some of the most closely watched names in the sport. Usman Nurmagomedov leads at 21-0, followed by Movsar Evloev at 20-0. Evloev, 32, fights out of Russia with American Top Team and holds the number-one featherweight ranking. The six-foot-nothing featherweight lands nearly four significant strikes per minute and averages 4.78 takedowns per fifteen minutes, making him a persistent threat everywhere.

Shavkat Rakhmonov sits at 19-0 alongside Michael Morales. Rakhmonov, known as Nomad, is a 31-year-old Kazakh welterweight ranked third in his division. Standing six-foot-four with a 77-inch reach, he lands 3.25 significant strikes per minute at a remarkable 60 percent accuracy and adds 1.4 takedowns per fifteen minutes to keep opponents guessing.

Muhammad Mokaev rounds out the list at 13-0, with the verified record correcting the 16-0 figure cited in initial reports. The 25-year-old Englishman competing out of KHK MMA averages a division-leading 5.29 takedowns per fifteen minutes and has shown consistent finishing ability throughout his career.
