Quick read
Manel Kape avenged his 2016 loss to Kyoji Horiguchi with a third-round knockout, delivering his fourth consecutive finish in the flyweight division and moving to first place in UFC flyweight knockout history with five stoppages. Horiguchi had largely controlled the rematch using his trademark speed and footwork, winning the first two rounds, but a decision to stay in range after a combination allowed Kape — who briefly switched from southpaw to orthodox — to land the decisive counter right hand. Kape's improvement since their first meeting was evident throughout, as he consistently sought the finishing blow despite being controlled for much of the contest.
