UFC Matchmakers Reportedly Clashed With Khabib and Chimaev Over Signing Gasanov and Vagaev

Khamzat Chimaev signed Vagaev to the UFC and Khabib Nurmagomedov signed Gasanov, both going through UFC management directly and bypassing matchmakers. In apparent retaliation, matchmakers initially scheduled Gasanov and Vagaev to fight each other, then pulled Gasanov from the card citing failed USADA testing, before ultimately offering Vagaev a bout against Saygid Izagakhmaev at welterweight.
