The 27-year-old Brazilian, who trains out of Team Lucas Mineiro, now sits at 11-1. Lima had been a compelling presence on the list, averaging 3.94 significant strikes landed per minute at a 56 percent accuracy rate, with a submission attempt rate of 0.9 per 15 minutes adding further threat to his game.

Why it matters

  • The updated list is topped by Movlid Khaybulaev at 24-0-1 with one no contest, followed by Usman Nurmagomedov at 21-0 with one no contest
  • Movsar Evloev holds the third spot at 20-0, ranked number one in the featherweight division at 32 years old; the Russian averages 4.78 takedowns per 15 minutes, underlining his grappling-heavy style
  • Shavkat Rakhmonov sits at 19-0 in the welterweight division, ranked third, and brings a striking accuracy of 60 percent along with 1.2 submission attempts per 15 minutes — one of the more well-rounded profiles among active unbeatens
  • Magomedov's addition and Lima's exit in the same evening illustrate how quickly the composition of this group can shift
