Morales enters this role as one of the division's most compelling unbeaten prospects. The 27-year-old Ecuadorian carries a perfect 19-0 record and sits at number two in the welterweight rankings. Fighting out of Entram Gym with an orthodox stance, the six-foot Morales boasts a 79-inch reach and produces a remarkable 5.62 significant strikes per minute, making him one of the most offensively active fighters in the division.

Makhachev, the reigning welterweight champion and the top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter in the world, brings a 28-1 record into the August defense. The 34-year-old Russian southpaw stands five-foot-ten with a 70-inch reach and is known for his well-rounded game, averaging 3.2 takedowns and 1.1 submission attempts per 15 minutes alongside a striking accuracy of 58 percent.
