Magomedrrasul Gasanov was removed from his scheduled fight against Abubakar Vagaev after UFC flagged a substance found in his testing history. According to his sparring partner Ikram Aliskerov, Gasanov submitted documentation of all substances used over the past six months and passed a follow-up test, but UFC deemed a particular long-lasting compound unacceptable and cancelled the bout. Aliskerov compared the situation to the widespread mildronate cases that previously ensnared fighters including Islam Makhachev.
