Shara Bullet has revealed he contracted dengue fever during a training camp in Thailand ahead of his fight with Barrio, spending roughly two weeks bedridden with a 40°C fever, skin sores, and hair loss. He returned to training prematurely, collapsed during a session, and then relapsed with a secondary fever before flying to Abu Dhabi. Despite the ordeal, he went on to win the fight, only to require surgery in the immediate aftermath and go without sleep for two days following the bout.
