Magomedrasul Gasanov was removed from his scheduled fight against Abubakar Vagaev after the UFC took issue with a substance found in his system. According to UFC middleweight Ikram Aliskerov, who trains with Gasanov, the substance is a long-lasting compound that remains detectable in the bloodstream for an extended period, and Gasanov's test otherwise came back clean. Aliskerov compared the situation to past cases involving mildronate and suggested the UFC's decision amounted to an overreaction.
