Gasanov pulled from UFC bout over substance flagged by organization — Aliskerov

Magomedrrasul Gasanov was removed from his scheduled UFC fight against Abubakar Vagaev after the organization flagged a substance found in his system, according to his sparring partner Ikram Aliskerov. Aliskerov says Gasanov submitted records of every substance he had taken over the past six months and subsequently passed a clean test, but the UFC still pulled him from the card. Aliskerov likened the situation to the meldonite cases that previously affected other fighters, noting the substance can remain detectable in the bloodstream for an extended period despite no recent use.
