Shara Bullet has disclosed that he contracted dengue fever during a training camp in Thailand ahead of his fight with Barrio, spending two weeks bedridden with a 40-degree fever, severe skin breakouts, and hair loss. He recovered sufficiently to travel to Abu Dhabi and win the bout, but his ordeal did not end there — he spent two sleepless days after the fight before undergoing a four-hour surgery. Bullet says he was unable to breathe properly for two weeks post-operation, though he has since made a full recovery.
