Carmouche, known as "Girlrilla," is 42 years old and trains out of The Arena in the United States. She carries a 13-7-0 record and has built a reputation as one of the more well-rounded veterans in the women's game, averaging 2.57 takedowns per 15 minutes and connecting on 54 percent of her significant strikes. The guillotine finish was a reminder that her grappling threat remains very real.

Araujo, the 39-year-old Brazilian ranked eighth in the women's flyweight division, came in at 13-7-0 and had shown consistent striking volume throughout her career, landing 3.84 significant strikes per minute with 47 percent accuracy.
