In a finish that came quickly, Hasan Magomedisharipov needed just one round to submit Joshua Weems with an arm-triangle choke. Weems, a 32-year-old American representing Black Sails MMA, entered the night at 11-3 and had been one of the more active offensive fighters on the card, averaging 5.25 significant strikes per minute and 4.77 takedowns per 15 minutes heading into the bout.

Liz Carmouche added a guillotine choke finish of Viviane Araujo in round two to an already eventful card. Carmouche, the 42-year-old American veteran fighting out of The Arena, carries a 13-7 record and has demonstrated consistent finishing ability throughout her career, connecting on 54 percent of her significant strikes and averaging 2.57 takedowns per 15 minutes. Araujo, a 39-year-old Brazilian from Cerrado MMA and ranked eighth in the women's flyweight division, came in at 13-7 as well. She averages 3.84 significant strikes per minute with a 47 percent accuracy rate, and had been considered a live underdog given her divisional standing.
