In his post-fight interview, Khamidov revealed he had shared a training camp with two prominent Russian fighters — Petr Yan and Movsar Evloev. Yan, nicknamed "No Mercy," currently holds a 20-5 record and is the Bantamweight champion. The 33-year-old switch-stance fighter trains out of the Archangel Michael Club and is widely regarded as one of the sharpest strikers in the sport, landing 5.12 significant strikes per minute at a 54 percent accuracy rate. Evloev, meanwhile, carries a perfect 20-0 record and holds the number-one ranking in the Featherweight division. The 32-year-old Russian, who trains at American Top Team, averages 4.78 takedowns per 15 minutes alongside 3.91 significant strikes landed per minute, making him a well-rounded threat.

Khamidov also addressed the possibility of a rematch with Magomed Magomedov, nicknamed "TIGER." Magomedov holds a 21-5 record and is 33 years old. The Russian fighter stands five-foot-seven with a 70-inch reach and posts a striking accuracy rate of 63.4 percent, the highest among the fighters mentioned in Khamidov's interview remarks.

Why it matters

  • Khamidov's return after a year out demonstrates he remains active and motivated at PFL level
  • Sharing camp with a champion in Yan and an unbeaten top contender in Evloev signals a serious investment in his development
  • A potential rematch with Magomedov, a precise and experienced opponent at 21-5, would carry meaningful stakes for Khamidov's divisional standing
