Updated UFC Meta Rankings 👀 Comment below thoughts 👇
UFC flyweight rankings have been updated, with Valentina Shevchenko placed at the top of the list.
Shevchenko, 26-4-1, is the reigning women's flyweight champion. The 38-year-old from Kyrgyzstan trains out of Tiger Muay Thai and fights from a southpaw stance. She stands five-foot-five, or 165 cm, with a 66-inch reach of 168 cm.
Her numbers help explain the placement. Shevchenko lands 3.14 significant strikes per minute at a 52 percent accuracy rate, a mix of volume and precision. She also averages 2.62 takedowns per 15 minutes and 0.3 submission attempts over the same span, which underlines how well-rounded her game is.
Why it matters
- Shevchenko sits at the top of the flyweight picture as the division's champion.
- Her takedown rate and striking accuracy show a champion who can win in multiple ways.
- Rankings updates tend to shape the conversation around who should challenge next.
