Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship has officially partnered with developer Thiefcatcher Games on a new video game, Blood & Canvas: Bareknuckle Boxing, which launches November 4 on PC through Steam, Bloody Elbow reported.

The game puts players in charge of a fighting career. They earn money, upgrade their in-game gyms and work their way through the sport. The BKFC branding is built into that world from day one: BKFC banners hang in the gyms, and select real BKFC fights play on the TVs inside them.

The bigger draw for fans of the promotion comes after launch. The game's first major update will let players fight as, or against, real BKFC fighters inside the Squared Circle, the promotion's signature ring. The partnership announcement does not say which fighters will be included or when that update is due.

For now, the release is limited to PC. No console version has been announced, so players on PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo platforms have no confirmed way to play it yet.

Why it matters

  • It is an official BKFC licensing deal, giving the promotion a presence in a video game as the bare-knuckle sport looks to widen its audience.
  • The roster update means real BKFC fighters will be playable, tying the game's career mode to the promotion's actual athletes.
  • The launch is PC-only through Steam, which keeps the initial release narrow in reach.

The announcement is an official one from BKFC, and the November 4 date puts the game only days away. Details on the fighter roster for the first major update remain the main open question.
