Michael Bisping and Daniel Cormier named coaches for next TUF season

Two of the sport's most recognizable former champions are heading to The Ultimate Fighter, with Michael Bisping and Daniel Cormier confirmed as opposing coaches for the upcoming season, which is set to premiere on June 14 on UFC on Paramount.

Bisping, known as "The Count," retired from competition with a professional record of 30-9-0. The 47-year-old from England stood six-foot-one with a 75-inch reach and built his career as an aggressive striker, averaging 4.33 significant strikes landed per minute during his fighting days. Since hanging up his gloves, he has transitioned into broadcasting and commentary, bringing a sharp analytical voice to the sport.

Daniel Cormier, nicknamed "DC," brings an equally decorated résumé to the opposite coaching corner. Also 47, Cormier finished his career at 22-3-0 and was one of the most well-rounded fighters of his era, posting a striking accuracy of 52 percent alongside a strong grappling game that produced 1.83 takedowns per 15 minutes. Standing five-foot-eleven with a 72-inch reach, Cormier has remained a constant presence in MMA through his extensive commentary and analyst work since retirement.
