Tsuruya's coming off a tough night himself at UFC 313, where Joshua Van outworked him for three rounds. Before that though, he looked sharp against Carlos Hernandez at UFC 303, landing 62 of 83 strikes at a crazy 75% clip and controlling nearly six and a half minutes. When he's on, the Japanese fighter can really put volume on you and make it a long night with his grappling pressure. Here's the thing about this matchup. Both guys are orthodox strikers who like to mix in takedowns, but Tsuruya's shown better accuracy when he's locked in.

Gurule throws a ton of volume but his striking percentage has been all over the place in his losses. The Factory X product needs to be sharp from the opening bell because Tsuruya will absolutely try to grind on him against the cage if he gets the chance. Short notice cuts both ways though. Sometimes a guy just shows up loose and swings for the fences.
