The first column counts only wins secured by a round-one stoppage. It doesn't rank speed within that round. UFC wins and fights give you the denominator, so 13 finishes across 47 appearances means something different from nine across 10.
The status column reflects the AgentMMA snapshot on October 21, 2026. An active label means the fighter can still add to the total. It doesn't promise a booked bout.
How this list is counted
AgentMMA counts a finish when a UFC bout ends with that fighter winning by KO/TKO or submission in round one. Decisions, draws, disqualifications and no-contests don't qualify. A second-round stoppage doesn't qualify, even if the decisive sequence began before the horn.
The unit is a UFC win, not a professional career win. A finish in PRIDE, Bellator, PFL or a regional promotion stays on the fighter's pro record but doesn't enter this table. Tournament bouts from the early UFC era count when they appear in the UFC results held by AgentMMA.
There is no minimum number of fights. This is a career total, so every fighter with UFC history is eligible. The UFC wins and UFC fights columns supply context that the raw finish count can't.
That scope explains why another page may show a different number. The UFC's Jim Miller athlete profile lists 17 first-round finishes as a career figure. AgentMMA has 13 because this page strips out his non-UFC bouts. The UFC's Hall of Fame profile for Belfort, by contrast, also credits him with 13 UFC first-round finishes.
Rules for overturned results matter too. AgentMMA follows UFC Stats results as stored in its database. If a win is later overturned, the bout counts as a no-contest and the finish leaves the total.
Notable names on the list
Jim Miller
Miller pairs the shared record of 13 with unmatched UFC volume: 47 fights and 28 wins in this snapshot. He remains active. UFC announced a new multi-fight contract for him in May 2026, so Belfort's share of the lead is still under pressure.
Vitor Belfort
Belfort recorded 13 first-round finishes across 26 UFC fights. Miller's row shows the same finish total across 47 fights. Belfort is inactive, and the UFC inducted him into its Hall of Fame in 2025. His side of the record is fixed unless he returns.
Frank Mir and Vicente Luque
Mir and Luque form the next tier at 10. Mir's number is fixed because he is inactive. Luque remains active and moved to middleweight in 2026, according to UFC coverage. His total can still rise.
Amanda Nunes and Charles Oliveira
Nunes and Oliveira each have nine, but their rows look different. Nunes has 18 UFC fights. Oliveira has 37 fights and 25 UFC wins. Both are marked active in this snapshot, so either total can still rise.
Don Frye
Frye's line is the table's sharpest concentration: nine first-round finishes, nine UFC wins and 10 UFC fights. That doesn't put him first. It shows how quickly his UFC wins usually ended.

How solid is this data?
The population covers every fighter's UFC bouts in AgentMMA's database: 8,950 bouts from March 11, 1994, through October 17, 2026. The list was computed on October 21, 2026. It isn't a sample, and it doesn't use a minimum-fight cutoff.
Only UFC bouts count. Fights in other promotions can raise a fighter's professional record, but they never raise a number on this page. Results follow UFC Stats as stored by AgentMMA. An overturned win is treated as a no-contest.
The main limit is timing. A new first-round UFC stoppage can change the active totals and the order. AgentMMA refreshes this maintained record page when new results alter the list. Until then, the as-of date tells you where the count stops.
FAQ
Who has the most first-round finishes in UFC history?
Jim Miller and Vitor Belfort share the UFC record with 13 first-round finishes each. Miller is active in the October 21, 2026 snapshot; Belfort is inactive.
Who has the most first-round knockouts in UFC history?
For all first-round stoppages, including submissions, Miller and Belfort lead with 13. If you mean KO/TKO wins only, this table doesn't separate them. It should not be used as a knockout-only ranking.
How many first-round UFC finishes does Jim Miller have?
Miller has 13 first-round finishes in 47 UFC fights, according to AgentMMA's UFC-only analysis. His broader pro-career figure is higher because it includes bouts outside the UFC.
Does a first-round finish include submissions?
Yes. AgentMMA counts both KO/TKO wins and submission wins that end in round one. Decisions and no-contests don't count.
Are fights outside the UFC included?
No. The table ignores every bout outside the UFC, even when that finish appears on a fighter's professional record.
When will this UFC record list update?
AgentMMA updates the page when completed UFC results change the totals or order. This version includes bouts through October 17, 2026, and was computed October 21, 2026.
