Most Knockouts in UFC History: Derrick Lewis Leads With 16

Quick answer

Derrick Lewis has the most knockouts in UFC history. AgentMMA counts 16 UFC KO/TKO wins for Lewis as of October 21, 2026. Matt Brown follows with 13. Max Holloway and Vitor Belfort each have 12. Lewis is also the active leader, so one more stoppage would extend his record.

Data snapshot: AgentMMA analysis of 8,950 UFC bouts, covering 1994-03-11 through 2026-10-17 (computed 2026-10-21)

This ranks career volume, not knockout rate. The wins and fights columns show how much UFC opportunity sits behind each total. Status is a snapshot, not a promise of another appearance. Fighters tied on KO/TKO wins share that total; the row order remains AgentMMA's database output.

How this list is counted

AgentMMA counts each UFC result recorded as a KO or TKO win. UFC Stats files doctor stoppages as TKOs, so they count here too. A decision, submission or disqualification does not count.

Only UFC bouts enter the total. A knockout in PRIDE, Strikeforce, Bellator, PFL or another promotion can raise a fighter's pro record. It cannot raise the UFC figure on this page.

Every fighter with a stored UFC bout is eligible. There is no rate threshold or minimum number of wins. This page then shows the 25 highest totals. Ties aren't split by opinion, title wins or highlight value.

An overturned win follows its amended result. If UFC Stats records it as a no-contest, AgentMMA does not count it as a win.

Another list may use a different window. The UFC's own Record Book says its career records cover UFC 28 onward. AgentMMA starts at 1994-03-11, so early UFC results can change who appears. Update timing after a new card can also create a short-lived gap.

KO and TKO wins stay together because that is the result category in the source data. For the rules behind each label, see UFC KO vs TKO: the difference under the rules.

What does the UFC knockout record actually measure?

The total measures how often a fighter won by KO/TKO inside the UFC. It doesn't measure every career knockout, raw punching power or the quality of each opponent.

Fight count adds useful context. Lewis has 16 KO/TKO wins across 32 UFC fights. Alex Pereira has 8 across 13. Those figures describe different careers, but this list ranks the total alone.

The same limit matters when you search for the most TKO wins in UFC history. This dataset combines KO and TKO results. It does not claim a separate TKO-only leader.

Notable names on the list

Derrick Lewis

Lewis leads with 16 KO/TKO wins, 20 UFC wins and 32 UFC fights. The UFC Record Book also lists him first on 16. He remains active in AgentMMA's snapshot, giving him a chance to move the mark again.

Matt Brown

Brown sits second with 13 KO/TKO wins from 30 UFC fights. UFC coverage confirms his retirement, which matches the inactive label here. His total remains the nearest completed career to Lewis.

Max Holloway

Holloway is tied with Vitor Belfort on 12, but Holloway is still active. UFC coverage before his July 2026 bout also listed 12 Octagon knockouts. His 24 UFC wins are the most among the top four names.

Drew Dober

Dober has 11 KO/TKO wins and remains active. He shares that total with Anderson Silva, Anthony Johnson, Dustin Poirier and Thiago Santos. UFC career coverage also identifies Dober as the lightweight division's knockout-win leader.

How solid is this data?

The list covers all 8,950 UFC bouts stored by AgentMMA from 1994-03-11 through 2026-10-17. That makes it broad for the stated question: UFC KO/TKO wins by fighter.

Results follow UFC Stats as stored in AgentMMA's database. Doctor stoppages count as TKOs. An overturned result counts as a no-contest, not a win.

The boundary is strict. Fights in other promotions can appear in a labelled pro record, but never in a UFC total here. Status can change between bouts or roster moves, so treat it as dated to the computation.

This maintained page changes when a completed UFC result alters a total, rank or status. AgentMMA will recompute it after new results enter the database.
