The percentage answers a narrow question: how often did a fighter finish the UFC wins they earned? It doesn't measure total finishes, strength of schedule, or losses. The 8-win floor keeps brief 2-0 or 3-0 UFC runs from taking over the ranking.

This table reproduces the database status field in the computed snapshot. Current reporting creates two clear exceptions: Meerschaert retired on October 10, 2026, while Craig retired in September 2025. Their rows stay untouched so the published calculation remains auditable, but neither is a current active leader.

How this list is counted

Finish rate equals UFC wins by KO, TKO, or submission divided by all UFC wins. A decision win adds to the denominator without adding a finish. A loss doesn't enter either side of this formula.

Only fighters with at least eight UFC wins qualify. That line matters. With no minimum, any newcomer who starts 2-0 with two stoppages would tie for first at 100.0%. A much higher floor would remove active contenders before their careers mature.

The calculation uses UFC bouts only. A finish in Bellator, PRIDE, PFL, ONE, or a regional promotion can raise a fighter's pro total. It can't raise the UFC figure here. Results follow UFC Stats as stored by AgentMMA, and an overturned result counts as a no-contest.

Other lists may use five wins, ten fights, or a minimum number of attempts. Some count all professional bouts. Those choices produce different leaders without making either calculation wrong. The UFC Record Book also ranks raw finish totals, not finishes divided by wins, so it answers a different question.

Notable names on the list

Gerald Meerschaert: 12 wins, 12 finishes

Meerschaert's UFC wins split into 11 submissions and one KO/TKO. That gives him the largest perfect sample in this study. The UFC also lists him among its leading submission winners and credits him with 12 middleweight finishes.

His perfect percentage is now a closed career mark. UFC reporting says he retired after his October 10, 2026 bout. The status cells above preserve AgentMMA's computed database snapshot, which had not yet reflected that change.

Benoit Saint Denis and Jalin Turner: 9-for-9

Saint Denis and Turner each own nine finishes from nine UFC wins. They sit one win behind Meerschaert's perfect total. Neither has a booked bout in this snapshot.

Turner's run is active again after a brief retirement. UFC coverage confirms he returned and kept the streak alive with another stoppage in August 2026. His next decision win would lower the rate, while another finish would preserve it.

Tom Aspinall: perfect across eight UFC wins

Aspinall has six KO/TKO wins and two submissions in the UFC. All eight wins ended before the final horn. His fast heavyweight results make the rate striking, but the eight-win minimum still gives needed context.

He isn't retired. He vacated the heavyweight title in September 2026 while dealing with an eye injury, and his return date remains unclear. No next bout appears in the snapshot.

Paul Craig: a status mismatch, not a changed rate

Craig's nine UFC wins all ended by stoppage, including six submissions. That 100.0% career rate remains valid. His label does not.

Craig announced his retirement after UFC Paris in September 2025. He should be read as an inactive historical leader, despite the active value preserved in both computed tables.

Who could change this list next

The UFC's event pages still listed all three matchups when this page was checked on October 21, 2026. A booking can still change before fight night.

How solid is this data?

The study checks 8,950 UFC bouts across the stored date range. From that pool, 392 fighters reached eight UFC wins and qualified. The ranking is broad, but its result still depends on the chosen floor.

Only UFC results count. Professional wins from other promotions are excluded, even when a fighter profile shows them. UFC Stats-derived results are used as stored in AgentMMA's database. An overturned win becomes a no-contest rather than a finish or win.

The eight-win floor balances sample size against relevance. Lowering it favors short, perfect starts. Raising it removes fighters such as Aspinall, Medic, and McKinney. Status fields can also trail retirement news, as the Meerschaert and Craig rows show.

This is a maintained record page. AgentMMA will refresh it when completed UFC results change the order, a fighter reaches eight wins, or a stored result changes.

FAQ

Who has the highest finish rate in UFC history?

Gerald Meerschaert leads fighters with at least eight UFC wins. He finished all 12 of his wins for a 100.0% finish rate.

What is the best finishing rate in UFC history?

The best possible rate is 100.0%. Nine fighters in AgentMMA's qualifying table reached it, but Meerschaert has the most wins among them with 12.

Who are the UFC finish rate leaders among active fighters?

After correcting the two stale status labels, Benoit Saint Denis and Jalin Turner lead current fighters by sample size. Both have nine finishes from nine UFC wins.

How do you calculate a UFC fighter's finish rate?

Divide UFC wins by KO/TKO or submission by total UFC wins. Decision wins lower the percentage. Losses don't affect this wins-only rate.

Why does this list require eight UFC wins?

The floor blocks tiny samples from ruling the table. Without it, a 2-0 newcomer with two finishes would rank beside proven UFC veterans.

Is finish rate the same as most UFC finishes?

No. Finish rate is a percentage of wins. A fighter can own more total stoppages but rank lower after several decision wins.
