Quick answer

As of October 22, 2026, 6 fighters have won a UFC Featherweight title fight, and AgentMMA counts 26 undisputed or interim title bouts. Jose Aldo was the first winner and reached 8 title-fight wins. Alexander Volkanovski has also reached 8 and is the current champion in AgentMMA's rankings data. This list tracks title-fight winners, so it includes former interim champion Yair Rodriguez.

Data snapshot: AgentMMA analysis of 26 UFC Featherweight title fights, including interim bouts; database window 1994-03-11 to 2026-10-17 (computed 2026-10-22).

The rows follow the date of each fighter's first title-fight win, and Aldo's 8-3-0 covers Featherweight title fights only. It isn't his full UFC or professional record, while the wins add to 26 because every counted bout produced one winner.

Table 1 compresses a career into one row; a fighter who loses and later regains the belt still appears once. The Title and Beat columns describe that fighter's first qualifying win; Last title fight can be a win or loss.

The latest result is Volkanovski's second decision win over Diego Lopes; the sequence also shows Topuria's two stoppages and Rodriguez's interim-title submission. Dates refer to the bout date stored by AgentMMA, not the local calendar date shown by every broadcaster.

Table 2 runs newest to oldest and treats rematches separately; Volkanovski-Lopes appears twice because those were two championship bouts, not duplicate data. The ten-row cut gives recent context; the 26-bout population drives the full winner list.

The tables answer different questions: the first tells you who has won a title fight, and the second shows the recent title sequence. A high ranking alone never puts a fighter in either table.

How this list is counted

AgentMMA starts with every UFC bout tagged as a Featherweight championship fight, and undisputed and interim titles both qualify. There is no appearance minimum; one title-fight win is enough to enter the list.

The order comes from each fighter's first qualifying win; the record then counts all of that fighter's title bouts in this division. Ordinary Featherweight fights don't count, and title fights at Lightweight or another weight don't count either.

Administrative title changes need a separate rule: a vacancy, stripping or promotion isn't a bout, so it can't add a win or loss. The UFC's title lineage says Aldo entered the promotion as champion after the WEC merger. His row therefore starts with the 2011 defence against Mark Hominick, not the 2010 belt presentation.

Some lists show 5 undisputed UFC Featherweight champions. AgentMMA shows 6 title-fight winners because Yair Rodriguez won an interim belt but never the undisputed one. Neither figure fixes the other because they answer different questions.

The cutoff is October 17, 2026, within AgentMMA's wider UFC results window beginning March 11, 1994. The page was computed on October 22, 2026, and later results belong in the next refresh.

Notable names on the list

Jose Aldo: first to 8 wins

Jose Aldo set the division's 8-win title mark across an 8-3-0 record. The UFC Record Book now also lists Volkanovski on 8, so the lead is shared. Aldo's route was unusual: the UFC awarded him its inaugural Featherweight belt after absorbing the WEC, before his first UFC defence. He retired from MMA after UFC 315 in 2025 and later received a final UFC sendoff.

Alexander Volkanovski: back on top

Alexander Volkanovski first won the undisputed title from Holloway in 2019, before Topuria stopped him in 2024. Volkanovski then beat Diego Lopes for the vacant belt and won their 2026 rematch. His 8-1-0 title-fight record now matches Aldo's win total. AgentMMA's UFC Featherweight rankings list him as champion at this snapshot.

Max Holloway: 9 title fights at 145 pounds

Max Holloway won an interim belt against Pettis, then made the title undisputed against Aldo. His 5-4-0 line ends with the 2024 loss to Topuria. The UFC now lists Holloway in its Lightweight rankings, so this page doesn't count his title fights there. Weight class matters.

Ilia Topuria: perfect in Featherweight title fights

Ilia Topuria went 2-0-0 in Featherweight title bouts. He stopped Volkanovski for the belt, then stopped Holloway in his only defence. Topuria vacated the division's title in 2025 to move to Lightweight. UFC results show Justin Gaethje took that Lightweight belt from him in June 2026.

Yair Rodriguez: the interim-only winner

Yair Rodriguez submitted Josh Emmett for the interim belt in 2023. He then lost the unification bout to Volkanovski. That 1-1-0 record explains why a title-fight winner list has one more name than an undisputed-champion list. The UFC's current rankings still place Rodriguez among the Featherweight contenders.

How solid is this data?

This is a maintained results list, not a ledger of every administrative reign. It covers 26 UFC Featherweight title fights, including interim bouts. AgentMMA reads the results and round data from UFC Stats as stored in its own database. A correction to that stored result can change the page.

Only UFC bouts count. WEC and other promotions can appear in a fighter's labelled professional record, but never in these UFC figures. That distinction matters most for Aldo, whose WEC belt became the UFC's inaugural Featherweight title.

An overturned result counts as a no-contest once UFC Stats and AgentMMA store it that way. Vacancies, strippings and interim promotions appear in the history around the table, but don't create imaginary fights. The UFC's official lineage is the reference for those moves.

The current champion can change at the next event. Use the UFC Featherweight rankings for the live answer. This page next changes when a new Featherweight title result lands or a stored result is corrected.
