White indicated that Tsarukyan now only needs to avoid behaving "like a maniac" to secure his championship opportunity. Meanwhile, Tsarukyan expressed doubts about fighting Islam Makhachev, suggesting the champion will retire after a couple more fights. The Armenian fighter declared his intention to capture the title within a year and become the face of the UFC. Tsarukyan stated that people will think of UFC when they see him once he obtains the championship.
