Despite losing a decision on Dana White's Contender Series in October, both he and his opponent Adrian Luna Martinetti received UFC contracts because the fight was so exciting that Dana White gave them a standing ovation. He will face the experienced John Castaneda, who is 4-4 in the UFC and last fought exactly one year ago, losing a split decision to Chris Gutierrez.
