The main event between Gilbert Burns and Mike Malott for UFC Winnipeg is officially confirmed after both fighters successfully completed the weigh-in procedure. Russian fighters Mark Volodin and Darya Zheleznyakova also made their contracted weights without issue. In a notable development, John Castaneda requested a catchweight bout at 139 pounds the previous evening, which Mark Volodin accepted. Both Thiago Moises and Castaneda required second attempts to make weight, but ultimately succeeded, keeping all fights on the card intact. As part of the catchweight agreement, Castaneda will forfeit 30% of his purse to Volodin.
