Josh Hokit has posted screenshots of a text conversation with Paulo Costa in which the Brazilian fighter demands $100,000. The exchange shows Costa writing "100k and we're even. Give me my money back," to which Hokit responded with crude jokes. Costa replied that he eats a lot of pizza to gain weight to fight Hokit. The exchange ended with Hokit mocking Costa with an inappropriate joke. Hokit captioned the post by calling Costa a "dumb Brazilian," escalating the tension between the two fighters.
