ACA President Magomed Bibulatov stated in an interview that more fighters in the league use performance-enhancing drugs than compete clean. He revealed that fighters accepting bouts on short notice are typically clean because they haven't had time to use substances. Bibulatov discussed the league's efforts to implement drug testing, giving fighters six months to clear their systems and allowing certain therapeutic substances. While the league has data on which fighters use banned substances, he questioned whether publicly releasing the information would be beneficial. He acknowledged that comprehensive testing is expensive and suggested Russian promotions should collaborate on anti-doping efforts, though he doubts this cooperation will happen. The league is still deciding how to handle violators, with one-year suspensions being considered.
