Melissa Croden returned to the win column by defeating Darya Zheleznyakova via unanimous decision with scores of 29-28 across all three judges' scorecards at UFC Winnipeg. Croden improved to 8-3 after suffering a loss in December of the previous year. This marked her first career victory by decision, as her previous seven wins all came by finish (six knockouts and one submission). Zheleznyakova now stands at 10-3 overall and 2-2 in the UFC. Despite a strong start to the fight, Zheleznyakova was unable to maintain her momentum through all three rounds.
