Strickland spent day in Newport Beach challenging Chimaev's team to meet

Sean Strickland visited Newport Beach, California, where Khamzat Chimaev is currently training, and publicly tagged his location throughout the day hoping to encounter Chimaev's team. Strickland was responding to reports that Chimaev had said he would try to kill Strickland on the street. The American fighter remained within ten minutes of Chimaev's gym and continuously posted his locations on social media stories, knowing that people training with Chimaev follow him and would see his posts. Strickland stated he expected Chimaev to show up but was ultimately disappointed. He concluded by saying he's the last guy in America that Chimaev should be calling out.
