Azamat Bostanov, now a fighter manager, shared memories of Khabib Nurmagomedov's UFC 223 title victory in Brooklyn eight years ago. Bostanov recalled interviewing Artem Lobov after the famous confrontation with Khabib, which led to manager Ali Abdelaziz initially telling him to stay away from their team. However, Khabib intervened, putting his arm around Bostanov and telling Abdelaziz he was "our guy" just doing his job. Despite being exhausted after winning the belt, Khabib spent time with a huge crowd at his hotel, taking photos and making video calls so fans could congratulate him. Bostanov also remembered 20-30 Dagestanis gathering at the hotel entrance when word spread that Conor McGregor's team might arrive, ready to protect Khabib from provocations. Years later, Khabib remained humble and friendly, once stopping his car to greet Bostanov on a Moscow street.
