Vadim Nemkov has disclosed that he suffered from kidney problems in 2022 that severely impacted his cardio during his first fight against Corey Anderson. The Russian fighter explained that he would gas out after just one round in sparring and felt completely drained by the second round of that bout. After extensive medical testing, doctors identified the kidney issue and found an approved medication that resolved the problem. Nemkov has since eliminated all sports supplements from his diet to reduce strain on his kidneys, relying only on vitamins like omega-3, fish oil, magnesium, and vitamin B. He noted that removing supplements like creatine, protein, and BCAAs has not negatively affected his performance.
