Fighter manager Azamat Bostanov shared detailed memories of Khabib Nurmagomedov's UFC 223 title victory in Brooklyn eight years ago. Bostanov recounted how manager Ali Abdelaziz initially told him not to approach their team after he had interviewed Artem Lobov following the bus incident, but Khabib warmly welcomed him, saying "This is our guy, he's just doing his work." After the Iaquinta fight, despite being exhausted, Khabib spent time with a massive crowd at his hotel, taking photos and letting Bostanov wear his championship belt. Bostanov noted that Khabib's hotel room was packed with people, many of whom the champion didn't know, but he graciously spoke with everyone via video calls to their friends and family. The manager emphasized that even after multiple title defenses, Khabib remained the same approachable person, recalling how a year later Khabib stopped his vehicle to greet him on a Moscow street and offer him a ride.
