Footage surfaces of Khamzat Chimaev's first amateur fight in September 2017

Video has emerged showing Khamzat Chimaev's amateur debut, which took place in Sweden in September 2017. Chimaev finished the bout with a submission in the second round at a Fight Club Rush event. He went on to win three amateur fights total before transitioning to professional MMA the following year in 2018. His opponent in that first amateur bout was Khaled Laalam, who currently holds a 7-1 professional record and competes in UAE Warriors.
