The rating is calculated using a special formula and expressed in numbers from 1 to 99, based on a fighter's last six UFC bouts only. For the UFC 328 card, Sean Strickland leads with a rating of 74, followed by Khamzat Chimaev at 69 and Alexander Volkov at 67. The ratings are calculated using a proprietary formula and displayed as a number between 1 and 99, drawing exclusively from a fighter's last six UFC bouts. The system is designed to give fans a clearer sense of the competition level each fighter has faced in their recent career. Among the UFC 328 roster, Sean Strickland leads all fighters with a rating of 74, followed by Khamzat Chimaev at 69 and Alexander Volkov at 67. Sean Brady and Joaquin Buckley round out the top five at 54 and 55 respectively, while Baysangur Susurkaev and Ozzie Diaz sit at the bottom of the card with ratings of 4 apiece.

Alexander Volkov

Strickland, the 35-year-old middleweight champion from the United States, carries a professional record of 31-7-0 and trains out of Xtreme Couture. The orthodox striker posts an eye-catching 6.04 significant strikes per minute, a volume that reflects a career built on relentless forward pressure and high-output standup exchanges.

Volkov, the number-one ranked heavyweight contender from Russia, brings a 40-11-0 record into the event at age 37. Standing six-foot-seven with an eighty-inch reach, the Strela Team product connects on 57 percent of his significant strikes, making him one of the more accurate offensive heavyweights in the division.

Brady, ranked seventh at welterweight, owns a 19-2-0 record at 33 years old. The Renzo Gracie Philly product is primarily a grappler, averaging 3.53 takedowns per fifteen minutes and 0.9 submission attempts in the same span, numbers that explain his standing among the card's higher-rated competitors.

Why it matters

  • The rating system adds a new layer of context to fighter profiles beyond raw win-loss records
  • Strickland's top score of 74 reflects his recent run of high-profile middleweight title fights
  • Low ratings for some UFC 328 participants could spark discussion about matchmaking and roster development
