Jim Miller, at 42 years old, secured his 14th submission in the UFC with a guillotine choke, his fifth guillotine finish in the promotion. He is now two fights away from the all-time UFC record of 50 bouts. Miller holds the record for most UFC wins with 28 and is second in finishes with 20 and submissions with 14, trailing only Charles Oliveira in both categories. In his last 10 fights after turning 38, he has posted a 7-3 record with all seven victories being finishes. Miller's career was significantly impacted when he contracted Lyme disease from a tick bite during his peak years when he held a 9-1 UFC record and was close to a title shot. The disease changed his body composition, but he successfully recovered and continued competing at a high level.
