Quick read

Khamzat Chimaev's brother disclosed that Chimaev experienced serious weight cut problems before UFC 328, with his body shutting down when 1.2 kg remained. A doctor was called, but the decision was made to continue cutting weight despite the brother's belief the fight should have been cancelled. According to the brother, Chimaev had originally agreed to face Jiri Prochazka at 205 pounds with a signed contract, but UFC contacted him directly asking him to fight Sean Strickland instead at 185 pounds. Chimaev agreed and attempted to cut from 231 pounds to 185. Following the loss, Chimaev has requested a rematch with Strickland in Abu Dhabi this fall.
