Holland, known as "Trailblazer," enters this period of his career with a 29-15 record at 33 years old. The American fighter out of Phalanx MMA Academy stands six-foot-three with an 81-inch reach, giving him one of the longer frames in the middleweight division. He lands 4.26 significant strikes per minute at 49 percent accuracy, making him a volume-oriented stand-up threat at 185 pounds.

Smith, nicknamed "Cobe," remains undefeated at 12-0 and was set to make what would have been a significant step up in competition at UFC OKC. The 30-year-old southpaw out of Fortis MMA stands five-foot-ten with a 72-inch reach. His numbers are striking — he lands 6.89 significant strikes per minute at an impressive 67 percent accuracy, and his takedown rate of 7.78 per 15 minutes marks him as a serious grappling threat as well.

Why it matters

  • Holland's withdrawal leaves Smith without an opponent and delays what was expected to be a meaningful test of the undefeated prospect's readiness for ranked competition.
  • With no replacement named, Smith's momentum and UFC OKC's middleweight slot are both left in limbo.
  • The physical contrast between the two — Holland's six-foot-three frame and reach advantage against Smith's southpaw wrestling-heavy pressure — made this a stylistically compelling matchup that will now have to wait.
